AbstractThe profiles of H(alpha) spectra lines of the loop prominence system on February 18,1984 at the eastern solar limb are calculated in this paper. The following four two-dimensional fields of physical parameters are obtained: (1) the velocity along the line-of-sight (V//); (2) the column number density of the hydrogen atoms at the second level (N0,2) ; (3) the excitation temperature (T(exc)); and (4) the micro-turbulence velocity (V(t)). The computed results show that the velocities V// at both the top and the low part of a single loop are smaller than those at the middle. The column number densities at the southern limb are the largest in the loop system. The excitation temperature at the southern limb is higher than elsewhere. The southern position is perhaps the site of the original flare core. In this loop system, V// goes up to 60 kms-1, N0,2 varies from 0.15 to 1.0 x 10(13)cm-1, T(exc): 6000-20000 K, electron density n(e): 10(11)-10(12) cm-3, electron pressure P(e):0.10-10 dyncm-2.
