Abstract

建设中国下一代大型地面太阳望远镜是我国太阳物理学科的共识.与当代1 m量级口径的地面大型太阳望远镜相比,下一代地面大型太阳望远镜更关注太阳和恒星物理的基本问题,对分辨率和磁场测量精度提出了更高的要求.计划中的中国巨型太阳望远镜是一架分辨率口径达到8 m,有效聚光面积不小于20 m2的望远镜,可探测太阳大气的基本结构及其演化.中国巨型太阳望远镜将为人类最终解决恒星磁场的起源、日冕加热等基本物理问题提供详尽的观测证据,为准确预报空间天气提供必要的理论和观测依据. 

Other Abstract

Developing a next generation ground-based large solar telescope is the consensus of Chinese solar research community. Compared with the current one-meter-scale solar telescopes, next generation large solar telescopes are more focused on fundamental issues of solar physics and stellar physics. Therefore, the resolving power and measuring accuracy of magnetic field are required to be higher. The Chinese Giant Solar Telescope (CGST) is a reflecting telescope with a diameter of 8 m and a light-collecting area of not less than 20 m2. CGST is expected to detect the fundamental structures and the evolution of the solar atmosphere. It will provide detailed observational evidences for the final solution to  fundamental physical problems such as the origin of stellar magnetic field and corona heating, providing the necessary theoretical and observational basis for accurate space weather prediction.
